Bliss Meditation
Mind Level

This special technique uses our breath, physical positions and mental visualizations to transform our normal desire, or changeable bliss, into unchangeable bliss. To do this, we practice with love or happiness or compassion. Generating conditioned happiness or bliss guides us to reach the unchangeable or great bliss. We call this unchangeable bliss the wisdom eye. This great bliss enables you to realize your Buddha nature. The desire bliss serves as a guide for attaining the great bliss. However, without first practicing Tummo, Tsa Lung and Lu Jong, you will not have enough experience with the changeable desire. Your changeable desire is so small that there is no chance that you will be able to connect with the natural, unchangeable bliss. We normally have just a small amount of changeable bliss. Therefore, we need help to increase this amount. When we practice with bliss it means that we are practicing great compassion and unconditional love. There are many conventional dharma techniques for generating love in Buddhism, but this is not only found in Buddhism. Other religions also have these kinds of practices. However, there is a different aim between these practices and the Buddhist practice.

Now, when you really want to practice ultimate Buddhism, then you practice Rigpa.
