The Successful Transference of a Teaching
For a teaching to be successfully passed on, there are several conditions that must be met by both the student and the teacher. The teacher must choose the right student, right time, right place, right environment, right teaching and right meaning. On the part of the student, the words of the teaching need to be absorbed, understood with the right motivation, and practiced. A teacher has several effective techniques to transfer the wisdom of the teaching so that the student will hear it, understand it, and practice it. Also, there are many kinds of teachers.

Main teachings
Lu Jong - Lo Jong - Tsa Lung - Tummo - Bliss Meditation - Rigpa - Tog Chöd - Kum Nye
Lu Jong, healing body movement, is the path of the method and is related to Tibetan medicine, whereas Lo Jong, transforming the mind, is the path of wisdom and is related to Tibetan astrology. Buddhism is the union of method and wisdom. To go deeper after Lu Jong and Lo Jong, is the practice of Tsa Lung, which is a channel and wind practice. To go even deeper we practice Tummo, the inner heat meditation, and after Tummo we practice Bliss Meditation. Next, we practice Rigpa, emptiness, which is outside of Buddhism because it is without concepts and techniques and without meditation. In addition to this path, we practice Tog Chöd, which is the practice of cutting our fear and expectations. For all body practices like Lu Jong, Tog Chöd, Tsa Lung and Tummo, it is essential to also receive Kum Nye, healing massages, in order to keep all energies flowing. Each of these techniques can be practiced individually, but only through the combination with Guru Yoga practice will it be ensured that all of the teachings are received properly.

Ways to Receive a Teaching
using words - showing - conveying meaning - blessing
A teacher has several effective techniques to transfer the wisdom of the teaching so that the student will hear it, understand it, and practice it. The teacher may use direct or indirect teaching words. The teacher may illustrate a teaching by symbolic showing or by positional showing (to show relationships between concepts). The teacher may choose to convey the meaning in a straight way to the student, or the teacher may convey the meaning in a winding way, with the meaning hidden. The dear Lama-la can help the student with her or his practice by offering a blessing with the teaching. This can be a blood teaching, a warmness teaching or a golden teaching.

The Student's Responsibility
understanding - motivation - practice
On the part of the student, the words of the teaching need to be absorbed, understood with the right motivation, and practiced.
For the words to be absorbed, three conditions must be met. First of all the student must hear the words clearly. Then the student must understand the words and then also remember the words and their meaning.
If the words are not heard properly, there is no way to correctly understand their meaning. But it is not enough to simply hear the words; their meaning must also be correctly understood. And even if it is clearly understood, the teaching is of no use if it is forgotten.
It is not enough for the student to simply understand and remember the meaning of the teaching; she or he must also have the correct motivation. Once a student understands the meaning of a teaching, it is possible to have three different motivations. The first one is when the student understands the meaning of the teaching and has the right motivation. The second is when the student understands the meaning, but has the wrong motivation. And the third is when the student understands the meaning but is not motivated in either a right way or wrong way.
Once the meaning is understood with the correct motivation, the student must practice. The teaching is successfully transferred when the student really practices what was understood and really tries to be that way.

Types of Teachers
Root Lama - Kun Kyab Lama - Inner Lama
There are many kinds of teachers.
The Root Lama gives the wisdom of words, the wisdom of meaning and gives the wisdom to enable students to understand themselves.
The Kun Kyab Lama, or “Everything is your teacher," means that both people and objects are teachers. An enemy is your teacher, a friend is your teacher and a neutral person is your teacher. Something that belongs to you is your teacher, something that does not belong to you is your teacher and a neutral object is your teacher.
Your inner lama means that you have found yourself, you guide yourself, you recognize that you are everything. You just be.

The Teacher’s Responsibility
talking - helping - talking - being
(knowing student - helping student - teaching truth - being truth)
For a teaching to be successfully transferred, the teacher must choose the right student, right time, right place, right environment, right teacher, and the right meaning.
First, the truth of the student is considered. The teacher must understand the beliefs of the student and talk about what the student wants to know. Then the teacher really tries to help the student.
Also, the truth of the teacher is considered. The teacher must speak the truth and do what is taught.
